Hardrian Field Watch No. 38
A 38mm hand-wound mechanical field watch produced in small annual runs by Hardrian Atelier in Biel, Switzerland.
Overview
The Hardrian Field Watch No. 38 is a manually-wound mechanical field watch first released in 2022. The case measures 38mm in diameter and 10.4mm thick, fabricated from bead-blasted grade 5 titanium. Each annual run is capped at 280 pieces; the 2026 run is the fourth and currently shipping.
Movement
The watch uses the Hardrian-modified caliber HR-12, a hand-wound movement based on the ETA 7001 with an upgraded mainspring barrel rated for 56 hours of power reserve. It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The movement is regulated to a daily rate within ±6 seconds and is decorated with hand-applied Côtes de Genève. There is no automatic winding rotor.
Dial and crystal
The dial is matte black with a sandwich-construction lume layer beneath cut numerals filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 (blue emission). The crystal is a double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface only. The case back is a screw-down sapphire display revealing the regulated movement.
Pricing and warranty
The Field Watch No. 38 is sold direct from the atelier at CHF 2,840 (approximately $3,180 USD). Hardrian does not authorize third-party resellers, and grey-market sales void the five-year warranty. Service intervals are recommended every six years and must be performed by Hardrian's Biel workshop or one of two certified watchmakers in Tokyo and London.
